CBS and Warner Bros. TV are developing Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock, Denise Di Novi and writer Becky Hartman-Edwards. The hourlong drama will revolve around two sisters who struggle with the blessing/curse of magical abilities.
Hartman-Edwards (American Dreams) will executive produce and write the pilot, which will be based on the Griffin Dunne novel that served as the inspiration for the 1998 Warner Bros. feature which starred Bullock and Nicole Kidman as Sally and Gillian Owens.
Bullock and Di Novi, who produced the feature, will serve as executive producers of the CBS project.
